Well after a bit the stuff i needed arrived, i will be dumping the other cartridges but i did see a couple things of note about the working ones, they all had save files, or at least some sort of saved data, the time attack modes were both open and able for me to play, which led me to another finding.

Sonic is just weird? Not just him, Tails, Amy, Eggman and Metal all had weird colors, some levels too so im guessing the games are just old and have corrupted since then, these are originals after all, though the possibilty of the genesis i got being faulty is a possibility too.

Sonic CD specifically had me locked in the Bad future for the entire game, i looked into how the game is beat and did all the jail machine things and nothing really happened, i might just be doing something wrong, im not that good at videogames.

Sonic was the most heavily affected character, the rest just look like they have different fur colors.

Main zone's whose colors were affected: Hill Top Zone, Sky Chase Zone, Mystic Cave Zone, Metropolis zone.

Managed to hook up the game feed to my pc using a bunch of adapters so i can provide screenshots.

After dumping the cartridges i have found out that Sonic 3 refuses to work, this means that sadly there is no knuckles palette swap yet, regardless of that Sonic 1 was pretty much the same, this time Sonic actually had pupils though, not sure what exactly triggers that pitch black eye but it might have to do with the newer sprites?

Anyways me and HJ are looking into ways to crack open that juicy nectar of negative emotions inside Sonic 3, she suggested using a decompilator and porting it to a format that wouldn't need an emulator but that sounds laborious, i said we would so updates might be slow, keep your eyes peeled though! Maybe we will find something sooner than expected.
